On account of the Bonalu Festival on 10 August 2026, the Museum booking office will close for ticket sales at 3:15 pm, and the Museum will close to the public at 4:00 pm.

Good News – Starting 1 December 2025, the museum will stay open until 6:00 PM for visitors.

In view of International Museum Day on 18th May 2026, the Museum will remain open till 8:00 PM with free entry to all visitors throughout the day.

Library & Manuscripts

Manages the museum's priceless manuscripts collections and rare-book library, archives and reference collections.

Display

Plans, and designs the gallery displays, and various public spaces in the Museum.

Education

Conducts educational programs, ‘workshops and outreach activities.

Public Relations

Handles communication, media relations and public engagement.

Accounts

Manages financial operations, budgeting, audits and accounting.

Maintenance

Ensures cleanliness, safety and maintenance of the Museum facilities. this department cfunctions under the Display Department

Security

Ensures the safety and security of visitors, staff and museum property. Currently the Security of the Museum is managed by the CISF (Central Industrial Security Forces).

Museum Shop

Runs the museum shop and promotes authentic museum merchandise.

Cafeteria

Provides food and refreshment facilities for visitors. Currently it is managed by the Telangana Tourism Department.
