The Museum will remain closed to the public on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, on account of Milad-un-Nabi.

Salar Jung Museum will close at 3:00 PM on 14.06.2026 for 75 Years & Birth Anniversary of Salar Jung III. Booking counters close at 2:15 PM.

Spic macay for facilitating school visits

An MOU has been signed between the Salar Jung Museum and the SPIC MACAY Hyderabad Chapter for facilitating the visit of school children, Especially government and aided schools who otherwise do not have the means to visit museums and experience cultural performances. The initiative is supported through the CSR contributions of Singareni Collieries as a first such initiative in the Platinum Jubilee Year of the Salar Jung Museum. It is expected that in 2026 a large number of school children will be able to benefit from this endeavour. The project is part of the Salar Jung Museum’s Educational initiatives.

Collaboration with SAHE for the conservation and restoration Of the step well in the Salar Jung Museum

The Salar Jung Museum has signed an MOU with SAHE (Society for Advancement of Human Endeavour), Hyderabad led by well-known conservation architect Ms. Kalpana Ramesh for the conservation, restoration and revitalisation of the Step Well in the Salar Jung Museum premises. Once restored the area will be used for cultural performances and special after-hour events. The initiative is supported through the CSR activities of Bharat Biotech. The project is being managed by the Conservation Department of the Salar Jung Museum.
